The Daily Board — July 30, 2026
Today's close, same-day brief.
Gold and silver ripped higher as the dollar sagged after the Fed's rate hold, wheat firmed across all three boards, and crude gave back a chunk of yesterday's Iran-driven spike.

The Read
🌽 Corn — 468½, −3¼ (−0.69%) 🔴⬇️ $CORN ( ▲ 0.17% )
No fresh crop-condition print today (that's a Monday release) — corn just kept drifting after yesterday's bigger drop.
This morning's USDA export sales came in light: 362,900 tonnes (14.3 million bu), up on the week but 25% under the four-week average, with Mexico and Colombia buying while an unknown destination cancelled 349,900 tonnes.
So what: cheaper corn is a small break on the ration bill, but that cancellation is the kind of headline that keeps funds cautious.
Watch: Monday's next crop-condition update for confirmation the heat-stress worries are easing or building.
🫘 Soybeans — 1188¾, −4 (−0.34%) 🔴⬇️ $SOYB ( ▲ 0.06% )
Beans held up better than corn, still riding this week's confirmed Chinese purchases even as new-crop export sales cooled off in today's report.
Fund length across the complex remains well off this spring's record, leaving room to unwind in either direction.
So what: a quiet four-cent dip isn't worth changing a marketing plan over — the China demand story is still doing the heavy lifting.
Watch: Friday's Sinograin reserve-bean auction results for the next real China signal.
