Wheat took it on the chin across all three U.S. boards today while canola quietly went the other way, in a split-complex session with the metals cooling off from their recent highs.

The Read
🌽 Corn: 462'0, +2'0 (+0.43%) 🟢⬆️ $CORN ( ▲ 0.17% )
Corn edged higher even as favourable U.S. weather kept the crop looking full, a sign of some quiet demand support under the surface.
Weekly export sales fell hard week-over-week (116,700 tons, down 68%), so today's gain leaned on positioning, not fresh buying news.
So what: a firmer bushel nudges feed costs up slightly for anyone pencilling out fall rations.
Watch: USDA's August 12 WASDE, the next real read on this year's crop size.
🫘 Soybeans: 1177'6, +3'0 (+0.26%) 🟢⬆️ $SOYB ( ▲ 0.06% )
